I don't think you would have seen a querty on the E51 as there isn't one.

Hi

I did look for a Talks 5 manual but can't find one online. Can anybody point
me to it please?

I saw the qwerty keyboard on the E51 yesterday and found it far too small
for me and difficult to locate the number pad keys.

Cheers
Dave

QWERTY which I have used are e71, e72 and N97 Mini. The e71 and e72 are
easy to use once you become familiar with the key layout. I find them OK in

size but some people find them small and too close together. It is all down

to touch. The keyboard of the N97 Mini is different in layout, having 3
rows but again easy enough to get on with once you are familiar with the
layout. The N97 Mini also has a touch screen. It may be arguable how
effecient a touch screen is for someone without any vision. There certainly

are people using them but I could not at present. I have some residual
vision and can manage the touch screen with the backup of my vision. I have

read on list where people who are totally dependent on touch have marked up

the screen with tiny bumpons to guide them. This would ot be my choice.
The reading of text messages and e-mail however with the touch screen is
fine as the volume up and volume down keys can be used to act like arrow
keys. This is a Talks setting. Also where there are tabs across the screen

on the touch screen the volume keys are used. to learn more about touch
screens you might find it useful to refer to the Talks 5 manual.

Subject: [talks-uk] Hello and info on different phones

Hi all

Well I have come back on this list since I am considering upgrading my
phone
to gain internet access, but you've all done a great job of persuading me
that iPhone might be the way to go rather than talks, though I will be
looking at both at sight village and sight village plus.

My questions are these.

Has anybody on here much experience of using Talks with touch screens and
how efficient is it? Should I consider only phones with a keyboard or is
the
touch screen interface rally a good concept?

Secondly, can anybody suggest which phones work well with Talks, including
internet, calendar and email, and also have FM radio and a keyboard where
you can easily identify each individual key? Are any of the qwerty models
at
all easy to use?

Thanks
Dave
