I love knowing how high I am too!I went up the highest mountain in Breakon (Penn Y Fann)with my friends a few weeks ago and wish I had Wayfinder then.
It would be great if they could put footpaths; coastal paths mountain paths; canal toe paths in the Wayfinder database too.

I bought mine with the software too, but I seem to remember it being around the £50 mark. Well worth it! Sounds about right JackieI got mine at the same time as I purchased the software but, I remember it being around that price on the invoice. It is a particularly good receiver because it works well as slow speeds which is good if you are wanting to use Wayfinder as an aid whilst walking. It is a lot of fun finding out how fast you are walking in the destination tab.Cheers.
