The phone will remain unlocked. Unlocking is nothing to do with the
firmware.

Wonder if anyone can answer this one.
If I have a phone purchased on a particular network and I then pay to have
it properly unlocked. Say I then restore factory settings, does that undo
the locking? Or will the phone remain unlocked?
