You will need sighted help, open the back of your phone and under the battery is a product code , type this into the box on the below link and it will tell you what the latest firmware available for your specific phone is http://www.nokia.co.uk/get-support-and-software/download-software/device-sof tware-update/can-i-update Good luck Cheers Pete -original message- Subject: [talks-uk] Re: Updating Firmware on N96 vodafone From: "Steve Nutt" <steve@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: 22/10/2009 7:03 pm Hi Eleanor, Your phone may have a different product number to Paul's which could mean there are no updates available. It is very complex how Nokia dish out updates. Have had a go with PC suite today and with someone who is very good at using computers and PC suite. It just won't let me do it though we can see the upgrade. At one time it just totally stopped the computer and restarted. Any suggestions please? I cannot do it from Menu, tools either as it just says there are no updates available. Eleanor
