Hello Eleanor,

what I suggest is to make groups for your e-mail contacts.  Open your
contacts list, then arrow right.  You will be told if you have groups
set up.  If the list is empty, go into options and create the groups.
Now go back to your contacts list, select the ones you wish to put in a
group, then go to options and add to group.  the list of groups will be
displayed. 
Choose the one you want, select it and all the contacts you have
highlighted will be copied into the group.  they will still be in your
main contacts list.
