Hi and thanks again Steve for your reply.

You are right in that the phone will produce a capital letter when the
desired letter is pressed similtaniously with the shift key on the bluetooth
keyboard. However, often the letter you type after that does not come out since
Talks interprets it as a command. The only reliable way I have found to do it
is to press shift twice and hold the letter you want capitalised down with it
on the second press.

By the way, do you know if it's possible to select, copy, cut and paste text
on the keyboard like you can on a PC?

  Thanks

  Adrian.

You can hold down the shift and press a key, and you will still get capitals.

    All the best

Subject: [talks-uk] Bluetooth Keyboards

    Hi all,

I have recently installed a Stowaway Universal Bluetooth Keyboard with my
Nokia N70. It has nice big keys, although some unusual combinations to achieve
some characters, eg there is no number row so you have to use the left FN key
with the top row of qwerty to get numbers. Also there only appears to be an
american layout driver downloadable from the IGO website available. The only
real problem I am having is that when I press the Shift key the phone says
"Talks", because it must activate the Edit key. Therefore the only way to type
a capital letter is to press the shift once alone and then a second time with
the letter you require. A bit of a nuicence but I can cope with it. Does anyone
know of a better solution. Maybe Talks should consider introducing the option
to change the Talks key to, for example, the Menu key as it is in Series 80.

I would be very interested to hear anybody else's experiences of using
bluetooth keyboards. I have seen some mention on this list of the Nokia
keyboards. Are they any good? I bought the Stowaway because it was recommended
to me as being one of the best.

    Adrian.
