Hi Ibrahim,

Well I am just writing some brief getting started documentation, then I will
post it to the web. You should also be able to order online from us as of
tomorrow, and also you should be able to download the new version to try by
tomorrow from our web site, if all goes to plan.

All the best

Steve

Hi Steve.

Well the price is £75 from you right? So long as I'm not going to pay over
the odds for the privilage of ordering from a dealer, I'll be placing my
order once I'm satisfied that it performs well for me.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Hi Ibrahim,

Currently, you won't be able to do it the same way, but we are working on
it.

No, it is locked to the Sim card, not the IMEI.

All the best

Steve

Hi Steve.

Apollogies for jumping in late on this thread, but I'd like to know whether
you'll be able to order the blind version in the same way you currently can
with the version that is downloadable. It uses the licensing manager and
you can purchase the program directly on the phone with a credit or debit
card in much the same way as vlingo as I understand things. Also, will it
be transferable on to another handset or is it locked to the IMEI?

All the best, Ibrahim.

Hi John,

Not currently, but this will come later. Remember the price difference
though between this and other reading packages.

All the best

Hi Steve,

Apologies to list moderator for being slightly ot.

Is there no way to save what has been scanned? I look forward to the version

for the blind. Sounds promising.

Kindest Regards, John

Hi Scott,

The blind version as they call it, will be available on Monday as a
preliminary version. There will be a free update to incorporate auto flip,
so you won't have to worry about which way round the paper is portrait or
landscape, but after that, I don't know what their upgrade policy will be.

All the best

Steve

wow nice one thanks Steve sounds good.

I take it that if one buys soon and then the one for the blind comes out and
updates that it'll be free to change and or update?

  Ta Scott.

Hi Ali,

There is currently no way to control or stop the speech, but this will come
soon. However, when it finishes reading, you can then read the output with
Talks, then you can get more control for the moment.

We will be selling it from Monday at an introductory price of 75 pounds.
Later, features will be added especially for us, but some have been already.
I will post a message on Monday to let you know that it will be on our web
site, and you will be able to download the demo.

The version for the blind will be a little different to the one that is up
there now on the Beyoweb site, as the beeps get higher as you get more in
focus, so auto shoot works really well. Other features will, as I say, be
added later.

All the best

Steve

Hi,

I have just tried it on my n82. It is promising. First time shot, I had
nearly 90% recognition. I think with little bit of trial and error, it
would be very useful. One thing I could not find is how to stop and start
reading, read by word, or read the text again. I am sure there is a way of
controlling it.

Thank you.

Ali

Hi. I have downloaded the Beyocbs reader and I don't know how to change the
default voice to English. It's a bit hit and miss on my Nokia E71. I think I
may be able to achieve better results with practise as I have a bit of
vision and can line the phone up properly. Has anyone tried this software
with a higher spec camera than the Nokia E71 3.2mp camera? I'm getting an
E75 next week and that has the 5mp camera so I can always give it a shot on
there. It looks promising. Well worth the £72 if I can get some success with
it.
