[talks-uk] Re: BBC IPlayer for the N96

I find zooms quite difficult to use to be honest. I have to have any
magnification way above 20 times magnification in the first place.

I probably need to persevere with it.

Cheers.

Hi Paul,

You mean you can see, and you are using a magnifying glass instead of Zooms?
Shame on you <Smile>.

All the best

Steve

Hi Steve.

Yes, Vodafone said the same for me too.

They don't know what they are on about half the time.

You can download and install it from:

www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer

You do need the highest band of connection though, such as wifi.

I have tried, and was successful in finding and starting to listen to a
programme but, accessing it was with the use of my magnifying glass. I
guess you can magnify it with Talks and Zooms, but, I haven't tried that
yet.

Hi Paul. According to Vodafone, the iPlayer is not available in this
country yet from a mobile, it's only available in France and Germany I
think. I'm not up on certain connections, but, as far as I can gather you
can only do it by connecting via wifi. I also downloaded it, but like you
said, when you select it, nothing happens...it's because it's asking you to
connect via wifi. That's as much as I know if it's of any help. Cheers
Steve.

Subject: [talks-uk] BBC IPlayer for the N96

Hi Everyone

I have the feeling this may have been covered to some extent last week so
apologies if it already has.

I have loaded the BBC IPlayer to my N96 but it is completely accessible as
far as I can tell.

I have Talks on the N96 if that helps anyone to help me, as it were!

If it isn't accessible I will find myself writing a strong letter to the
editor!

Thanks.
