Paul, I have just tried the link in this message and have been told that my N82 is not supported but that further devices will be added in the future (I doubt that mine will be one of them). If you go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/where_to_get_iplayer on your PC, you can see a list of all the devices which support the iPlayer. The supported mobiles are as follows: . Apple iPhone/iPod touch . HTC Diamond . HTC Touch HD . Nokia 5800 . Nokia E71 . Nokia N85 . Nokia N86 . Nokia N95 . Nokia N96 . Nokia N97 . Samsung i8510 . Samsung i8910 . Samsung Omnia . Sony Ericsson C905 . Sony Ericsson W705 . Sony Ericsson W715 . Sony Ericsson W775 . Sony Ericsson W995 . Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 At least I won't waste any more time trying to make it work for me, but I hope this might be useful for someone else. I have 2 more episodes of panorama stored on my phone ready to watch later. I have not tried downloading radio programmes yet, but may do so in the future. I have watched some East Enders from last week as well, but the programme actually works better on my Nokia N95 than on my E71. Sometimes, I find that the software can crash on the E71, more so, if you stream the programmes instead of downloading them. Also, you are unable to change the volume level when streaming, and this is the same on both the E71 and N95. The first time I downloaded a programme from BBC I Player using my phone, I got the message "register phone with BBC content provider"? I simply prest yes, and some activation keys which allow you to play the downloaded content were sent to the phone. downloaded content playes in real player. When playing downloaded content in real player, you can change the volume level. The downloaded content isn't that big, a 30 minit programme only took up about 70 mb.. I think that the application is very accessible, and works very well with talks. the application displays like a tipical webpage on your phone with options like, TV, Radio ETC. For those having problems downloading the software to your device, you can try this link below. However, I cannot guarantee it will work with all nokia devices. please type the following into your devices web browser: http://www.bbc.co.uk/mobile/iplayer/widgetdownload.shtml I hope all this helps, ----- Original Message ----- From: Eleanor Burke <mailto:eleanorburke@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: talks-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, January 25, 2010 1:51 PM Subject: [talks-uk] Re: BBC I PLAYER ON NOKIA E71 N95 I did download it Paul but I have not actually used it as I have simply downloaded podcasts. do you use it for radio programmes or can you use it for radio and TV? It works great with talks, and I would urge anyone who hasn't got it yet, to get it now. I currently use it on both my Nokia E71 and N95 phones. I have had now problems with it at all. __________ Information from ESET Smart Security, version of virus signature database 4808 (20100126) __________ The message was checked by ESET Smart Security. http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET Smart Security, version of virus signature database 4808 (20100126) __________ The message was checked by ESET Smart Security. http://www.eset.com
