Jackie I have phnes at home which are wireless ones, not mobiles as such. I am sure you know the type. The batteries are rechargable. After about a year when the batteries had been used a lot you would get a bleeping tone on the phone when calling someone, the other person did not hear this but it would drive one mad. I bought new batteries and solved the problem. It may not be his problem but maybe there is some way of finding out what his battery strength is in a phone shop.

I'm enquiring on behalf of a friend who has an N91 that he has acquired secondhand. It appears that he gets a constant bleeping on his phone when he is making a call, and it is driving him to distraction. He describes it as being similar to Morse Code. I can't hear this bleeping when I speak to him on his mobile, but he says it is so annoying that he can't hear the other person very well. I have an N91, and have never encountered this problem. Is there a setting or something he could turn off? Any suggestions appreciated. I apologise for being a bit vague, but as I haven't come across this one, or can't even hear the bleeps, I don't really know what to suggest. Many thanks.
