No, Carol, I started using SmartConnect so I wouldn't have to keep changing which connection I wanted to use depending on my location. With SmartConnect you just set up a group of your preferred connections ranked in order and if the first one can't be found, the second one is used instead. So you can always choose to connect via the group and SmartConnect will work out for itself which connection in the group it is going to use. It just makes connecting a bit easier.
