Ah, I haven't gotten 2.3.0.90 yet. I have noticed slow performance in
notepad as well. I did report it, so it will be interesting if this is
different...

I don't have Word here, but have noticed sluggishness when using
NotePad and especially when working on html documents.
Another thing to point out here in the same vein is that, at least on
my end, the problem seems to be somewhat better since the last update;
2.3.0.90, or whatever it is; I know that it has a 9 0 at the end of it.
