Hi, chip in my opinion. This is what it is one I think the Leo's is doing their job, but there is just not enough of them. We are not putting out a big enough budget to them just for putting out traffic cops. We need more of them so they can cover more area and control the traffic. Like it is they are so far stretched out that they cannot enforce traffic. Now the problem is people blocking this saying all you are doing is creating more government control and growing government. Well yes this is right but sometimes you have to increase this type of control and create more government jobs in order to keep the people safe. If this was about putting more troops in the military you would not be worried about the money to do that so why not not worry about the money it takes to keep us safe on the streets of our own country. So till we put more traffic cops and FHP's and stuff to work this is going to be a own going problem. Yes stopping the red light turn will help if you could enforce it but we don't have what it takes to enforce the other traffic laws now. It is like putting the red light cambers up. It is about money not safety. If it was about safety you would get rid of the cambers and put traffic cops in the place of them. Yes, this will the red light cambers catch someone running a red light but it will not stop them because you don't have no one to pull them over and stop them. All this does is just write a ticket. A officer can pursue them and stop them. Besides the fact that one is setting out there in the open being seen makes people start driving more careful. So the answer is put your money where your mouth is and the traffic cops on the road. Just my thoughts. Or is it high because law enforcement aren't doing their job in prosecuting and publicizing it, when a pedestrian is hurt? Or are they doing their job well enough, and we've just got a lot of bad, distracted, drivers out there? Possibly made worse by allowing things like rights on red?
