done all that! tried different USB ports, it sees it, but does not recognize

help my computer does not recognize my external USB hard drive! it saw it
last night, and this morning! but now it doesn't!

is there any thing I can do?

it has all my books, over 510 gigs, over 750 movies, about 200 gigs of
Radio
dramatizations, and a lot more!
