I'm pretty sure that is not full duplex.

As for all the other features, see the post I just made quoting James
Scholes .

I believe you can get the same access through Talking
Communities, as on the FCB Web page. I'm not sure though.

Accessible Event, offer ends December 31

                Hi Everyone,

I'd really urge everyone to get one of these free
accounts (before December 31) after viewing the demo provided on their
home page. especially so if you belong to any committee or group.

It does appear that as a participant, you would have a
distinct advantage if you're using a braille display, as the screen
changes under the control of the presenter as they display for you a
word document or a powerpoint slide or a web page, and it's a little
difficult to move around and listen to a synthesizer at the same time as
you are listening to the presenter speaking.

this aside, it's an amazing technical feat to have audio
streaming, while your pc is under remote control (in a way) as they
cause various apps on their computer to open, but which allow you to
move around to read the screen, and you can speak or write questions and
comments to the presenter.

It's a great tool for a business meeting with documents
to be discussed, it's not as good as a telephone conference call if
you're just needing to hold a conversation; but it sure helps overcome
the transportation problem, and in many ways allows a participant to get
more out of the documents being discussed, since you're right there at a
computer able to read them, than if you were at the meeting in person,
where you'd likely not have a computer.

Subject: [tabi] free account for personal use,
on Accessible Event, offer ends December 31

                        Hi all,

below is a sales pitch for the SeroTech
Accessible Event service. the interesting thing is that they are
offering free basic accounts, for personal use, if you sign up before
December 31. however, the free service which comes with this type of
account is free for life (they say).

the link in the press release for the sign up is
incorrect; it's for a paid type of account. you should not enter your
credit card number at any time for the free type of account.

I believe the corrected link is:

                        http://accessibleevent.com/services/gratis/5/

I got there by going to the "home" link, and
then choosing "sign up", and then "basic".

this account allows you to host an online
meeting with 3 attendees. there's a demo on the home page of the web
site showing you what's possible in such an online meeting. no special
software, other than a browser with flash, is required.

                        enjoy.

                                Accessible Event makes meetings,
lectures, and webinars fully accessible to all participants, and no
meeting is too large or too small for Accessible Event
<http://www.accessibleevent.com/> to handle. We understand that
important meetings don't just happen in huge corporations. To that end,
we've made a few changes that make it easier and more affordable than
ever to bring accessibility to even the smallest group event.

First, any personal Accessible Event day
pass or subscription now covers up to ten attendees. We've doubled the
number of allowed attendees, but we haven't doubled the price. For
$9.95 for a personal day pass, $39.95 for a month subscription, or
$29.95 per month for a year's subscription, you can ensure that all your
meeting content is accessible, including MS-Word documents, Excel
spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and web pages.

And while Serotek embraces the spirit of
giving during every day of the year, we wanted to present you with
something extra special during the holiday season. From now through
December 31, you can sign up for a free, basic Accessible Event
subscription entitling you to up to three attendees per meeting. Are
you a blind student who needs access to classroom presentations? Do you
hold a small group meeting every month and you've been looking for a way
to make it accessible? Do you attend meetings which utilize an
inaccessible meeting platform and you're tired of not having the same
level of access as the other meeting attendees? W hether running as a
standalone product or alongside other meeting solutions, Accessible
Event is perfect for your needs. Use your free, Basic Accessible Event
subscription to become a full participant in every meeting you attend.
And the best part is: while the ability to sign up for this free
subscription ends on December 31, your access to it lasts a lifetime.
If you sign up between now and December 31, your basic Accessible Event
account will never expire.
