That's wonderful news. Ion was always for this machine from the get go. Now I wonder if this is just Leon county or state wide.

Robert: The voting machine demo was put on by the Supervisor of Elections' office. I did not specifically ask when the new voting machines would be available but I got the impression that they would be available for the next election. I did ask how much each machine cost and I was told that they were approximately $7,000 each. When I asked how many they had I was told that they had 2 for each voting precinct.-----Original Message----- From: Robert Miller <robertmiller2201@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: tabi <tabi@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wed, Apr 30, 2014 9:17 am Subject: [tabi] Re: Techno Demo Schedule Toni, I like your idea of posting the flyer. Putting it in the newsletter is a good thing but some people may not read the newsletter not knowing about the tech demo. Usually I know about it but didn't get a invite as a vendor this year unless it went in to my junk folder and I missed it.I have some questions about the accessible voting machines. Was the demo byLeon county? If so did they say when they would be implemented? In 20012 the Fl Legislators delayed mandatory implementation until 20016 and Irecently heard another bill was slipped in that again extended the dead lineto 2020 which doesn't surprise me. The LBB news letter was posted to TABI and there was a article in thenewsletter telling of our up coming Techno Demo. I thank you for your suggestion and what I will do for 2015 TechnoDemo isas soon as the flyer is ready (normally about 4 to 6 weeks out) Iwillpost it to the list and then again two weeks before the event. I am more then happy to post information in detail about the demo and follow up with reminder post. I know how easy it is to forget eventswitha busy schedule. We try to always have the voting machines here for the Demo. Therewasonly one year we were unable to do so. I will check to see if there is any up-coming events where they willhavethe accessible voting machines there for people to check out andpostthis to the list. Thank you for your suggestions and again I will make sure to post the information at least twice to the list.
