Hey Robert, is your usb mike also a head set?----- Original Message ----- From: "Easy Talk" <easytalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <tabi@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, December 24, 2009 5:16 AM Subject: [tabi] Re: TeamTalkHI all,Chip, I think if you use a desk mike, when you speak it mutes your speakers because when we talked the other night I didn't have my speakers turned down. Also radio shack has a real nice usb mike for around $23.00 That is what I was using.Robert----- Original Message ----- From: "Chip Orange" <Corange@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <tabi@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, December 23, 2009 6:03 PM Subject: [tabi] Re: TeamTalkHi Yvonne, no problems; if not me, then someone here will answer your questions when they can. sure, you can connect just a microphone, but in that case, it really helps to be wearing earphones, so the sound of the other people talking, and of your speech synthesizer, doesn't go right from speakers back into the microphone. Oh, I should add, if you have one of the microphones with two prongs on the connector (meant for cassette recorders), you cannot use that type of microphone, it won't plug into your sound card. Governor reminded me a lot of laptops have a built-in microphone, and he was using his the other night, and it sounded as good as a headset mike. enjoy. Can you just get a microphone instead of a head set or do you have to have a microphone headset and microphone. I think I am saying it right. I have a friend in S. C. C. who is on the list and he download his also and we are trying to get some others to do it also. My friend has Skype and has been trying to to get me to get it but they keep up-grading and it sounds to complicated and you don't have any live support it. Thanks for being so patient with me. But if you don't know you have to ask right"smile".
