Good evening Everyone,

City of Tallahassee budget discussions and negotiations are underway. As
always, reductions to Starmetro (both fixed route and Dial-A-Ride) are being
considered. Please make your voice heard by urging your City Commissioners to
not support these reductions. Below is an outline/template that may be used to
email City Commissioners, compliments of John Plescow. Email City Commissioners
at commissioners@xxxxxxxxxx

Time is of grave importance so I urge you to draft and send your email today!

Thanks for helping to make a difference and protecting funding for public
transportation!

Draft letter:

Dear Commissioners:

I am writing regarding the city's budget. I would not support any cuts to
StarMetro. Both the fixed route system and Dial A Ride are critical to the
citizens that need to use the services. Any cuts to public transit will damage
the local economy, because transit is economic development. We cannot make
money, if we cannot get to our jobs. We cannot spend our money buying goods and
services in Tallahassee, if we cannot get to the providers of those goods and
services.

Thank you for your support of public transit.

Sincerely:

Sila Miller
