Charles,

I'd be guessing complete, but ...

sometimes web sites use an add-on program like flash, or even just java
scripts, which change the web site as you move around the page. either move
the focus, or move the mouse pointer, and these programs sense that, and
maybe show you different options.

or sometimes it's not that complicated; sometimes you just click on the
"listen" link, and a little popup pops up to ask you "mp3 or windows media
player?", but your screen reader doesn't see that, and doesn't read it to
you.

I know your frustration though: I gave $150 donation to public radio, for
this little device that's supposed to let me press a button, and later hear
whatever public radio show again, that I was listening to then.

you just plug this little fob into your computer's usb drive.
unfortunately, their player isn't compatible with screen readers, and I
can't get to it's controls to start it playing or pause it.

I eventually found a way to work around it, but it's annoying!.

Chip

I know a couple of people that will be able to show me what I am trying to
get to.

I just want to see if someone can explain what is possibly happening in a
way I can grasp it.

Thanks!

Charles,

can you post the link of the page where you're trying to listen to
something? maybe then some of us, with both kinds of screen readers, can
give it a try.

Chip

How can things on a webpage change positions or places even?

as you are scanning the page right before your very ears,

It says listen,

you enter and get nothing,

what is going on?

You press the alt key and still cant' hear it.

You tab over or,

press down arrow and nowhere does it say open.

What is this?

It plays fine on other people computers however.

Help please?

Charles
