Hello again Chip and all interested in this thread:

I realize at one time RSBD was a mail order service and is now moving to a
self serve downloads it to your own computer free service. It just seems to me,
RFBD is between the two types of service. I was trying to point that out in my
post to the list.

It was rather goofy. I didn't know if the download manager was goofy or for
real.

I will give them a call.

    Lynn,

I thought you could get an individual account for free, that was the whole
point of the announcement? what gives with the $100 charge?

sorry, I don't know about the download manager; give them a call.

Ok I have jumped through all all the hoops at RFBD. They say they will
ship my books even though they know I am to download them to my computer.

They did charge me $100.00 for my individual account. I didn't give them
my credit card number nor did they ask.

I got al the notices and activated my account.

Now I even downloaded their download manager. Now how important is this
application. I tried to open the file or run the program and got a run time
error. Not once but twice.

      so what gives??

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
