Hi, not lost my freedom to walk just want to be live a long time to walk.
If
this means modifying how I walk to me this is ok. I would rather be
walking
at 90 years old then dead or mangle up at 50 something.

Your message makes me sad. I was afraid right after I got struck by a car
that I'd feel this way but ...
I, for one REFUSE to stop walking outside. I REFUSE to always be
accompanied
by another person be they sighted or blind. I REFUSE to be controlled by
automobiles, inconsiderate and uneducated drivers, or my fear. While I
totally understand and respect your point of view, I do not share it at
all.
I hope there are others out there who feel as I do. Without us
persistent,
possibly crazy blind pedestrians, some of whom don't have any other
choice,
driving etiquette might possibly disappear all together. Be aware and
take
care but don't forego your freedom to walk.

Yes, I don't know what the blind community around the Tallahassee area
is
going to do. I have quick walking outside in the city of Tallahassee all
together with out at least one visual person with me. It is just
dangers.
I
do most of my walking in the malls and stores now. It is much safer and
cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter and whole lot less pollen
in
the spring and fall. It is Just all around the best for me . Just my
thoughts. Also I don't live in Tallahassee but if I did I would just
take
a
taxies or bum from a friend or relative. Not going to do the bus transit
in
Tallahassee. Just my thoughts.
