StarMetro to Hold Learning Sessions for New System Launch City Logo May 31, 2011 In preparation for the July 11 launch of the new decentralized system, StarMetro will hold nine learning sessions to educate customers on the upcoming changes. At these learning sessions, staff will introduce the newly redesigned Ride Guide and online trip planning application. With these tools, staff will then provide one-on-one assistance to attendants. "Our intent is to really educate customers and get them familiar with the new system before the launch," Ron Garrison, executive director of StarMetro, said. "We want to make customers aware of the changes and assist them in any way possible to assure that the transition into the new system is as smooth as possible." Learning Sessions will take place: June 7 at Jake Gaither Community Center, located at 801 Bragg Drive, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 - 7 p.m. June 9 at B.L. Perry Jr. Library, located at 2817 S. Adams Street, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 5 - 7 p.m. June 21 at Walker Ford Community Center, located at 2301 Pasco Street, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 5 - 7 p.m. June 28 at Northeast Branch Library, located at 5513 Thomasville Road, from noon - 2 p.m. and 5 - 7 p.m. June 29 at LeRoy Collins Library, located at 200 W.
