Hello all,
Schwans has evening delivery after five as well as ways to preserve frozen food
if you're not home.
Hope this helps

You can arrange a time with them when you sign up for their service. They
have a special bag you can buy from them that will keep things frozen, but I
haven't tried it, so don't know how well it works. You can let them know you
won't be home until after 5:00. I think they have limited Saturday hours,
because my Schwan's man does work at least part of a day on Saturday.

Laurie or others,

What are the hours of delivery for Schwan's? I work from 8:00-5:00 so want
to ensure that the products will still be frozen when I get home in the
evening. Do they perhaps schedule weekend delivery? I'm usually home on the
weekends.

Thanks!
Alexis

I do go to the store every week. I used a shopping service some of the time
when my son was little, just out of convenience, because of having to carry a
car seat on the bus and come home in a cab.
I like to use Schwan's especially in the summer, because by the time I get
frozen foods home, they are already starting to sweat. The Schwan's products
are brought from the truck to my front door still frozen solid and the
packages are not sweating, unless it is 100 degrees that day.

I believe that having grocery delivery is an excellent idea, but I worry that
it will promote people to not want to get out in the open.
The public needs to know that a blind person can be independent and are
capable.

can order online, or when your Schwan's man makes his regular stop.
If you will not be at home when the delivery arrives, they have bags
you can buy to keep the frozen foods from thawing, but I haven't tried
them, since I am usually home when he comes. I usually get ice cream,
as well as pizza, prepared chicken products, frozen veggies, as well
as really awesome French fries that bake in the oven. He usually has
what I want on the truck, but, if not, he will preorder it and bring
it to me the next time he comes. You can sign jup online and they
will schedule you a delivery date.

Alexis,

You're welcome.

Also, a lot of people here have mentioned a limitted grocery delivery
company named Schwann's, which they have been quite happy with (but I
think it's all refridgeribles)

Hello All,

I used Go Go Deliver for the first time this weekend. I mentioned
that the web page had problems, as the signature required to complete
the form had to be drawn with the mouse. I have just received a
message stating that the problem has been fixed. I'll be using the
service again, since the fees are less than cab fare, and I'm not the
one who has to hunt all the things up.
The form contains an edit box for pasting the list, and an area to
upload coupons. Delivery was on time, and the representative went
over the items on my list he was unable to get. If you have more
questions, you can send to the list, and I'll answer what I can.

Thanks
