I bet, if you called AT&T and explained you needed the GPS unlocked for an accessibility product, they would likely do it for you. otherwise, try BestBuy for a local source. You'll get a much better receiver (they do vary in capabilities right now quite a bit), if you'd be willing to mail-order.
