This is the cornerstone project of their consumer research program, the results from which are used to educate the wireless industry, government and consumers about the needs and wants of consumers with disabilities. Their ultimate goal is to promote use and usability of this critical technology for promoting the independence and healthy lifestyles of everyone. Please take the survey at: http://www.wirelessrerc.org/survey (English) http://www.wirelessrerc.org/encuesta (Spanish) If you would like to take the survey over the phone, please call John Morris, researcher for the Wireless RERC, at 404-367-1348. In 2001, the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research of the U.S. Department of Education funded the Wireless RERC "to promote universal access to and use of mobile wireless technologies and explore their innovative applications for people with disabilities." Since then, the Wireless RERC has become a recognized leader on issues and solutions related to the accessibility and usability of mobile wireless products and services by people with disabilities.
