MAY

TROUT POND DEDICATION

When: Saturday, May 16 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am

Where: Trout Pond is located on Springhill Road, approximately 12 miles 
southwest of downtown Tallahassee.  Come be a part of history.  This site was 
originally dedicated in 1970 by the Eisenhower family to be a park to provide 
recreational opportunities to persons with disabilities.  

 

KICKBALL

When: Wednesday, May 27 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm

Where: Miracle League Field at Messer Park

Everyone can participate in kickball!  We will attach power soccer guards to 
wheelchairs to enable anyone interested to play.  Don't miss the fun!

 

JUNE

Hands Helping Anglers

When: Saturday, June 13-meet times will vary

Where: Varies by participant-Details to be provided after registration

Enjoy fishing at NO CHARGE. This is provided through volunteers from North 
Florida Gulf Fishing Club (NFGFC), Tallahassee Northside and Tallahassee 
Capital Rotary Clubs . The event includes lunch and transportation. You may 
bring an assistant with you. Please let us know ASAP if you want to go (space 
for 25 people). 

 

AUGUST

SAILING clinic

When:  Saturday, August 22 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm

Where: Shell Point

Come out and see if this sport might be for you-No prior experience necessary.

ONGOING 

INCLUSIVE MARTIAL ARTS CLASS

When: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:30 pm

Where: Legends Fitness Center (2415 N. Monroe Street) 

Former 1988 Heavyweight World Kickboxing Champion and Taekwondo Champion, 
Gerald Murphy, includes people of all abilities. He has the experience and 
patience to work with anyone. All are invited to attend.

TENNIS

When: Every Monday 6:30 pm (you may arrive later)

Where: Jake Gaither Tennis Courts (801 Tanner Drive)

What: Up - Down Tennis practice will be held every Monday evening.  You do not 
need to know how to play.  Wheelchair Tennis Champion, Suni Patel, will help

POWER SOCCER

What: Power soccer excitement and interest keeps stirring!  Power Soccer is the 
first competitive team sport designed and developed specifically for power
