this is great work, but I'd like to offer an observation: if you're a
potential bus rider, and you'd like to know if you'll be able to take some
of these routes, then it's just as important for you to know where the stops
are as it is to know how the route is laid out. if there's no stop
reasonably close to where you need to go, then it doesn't matter if it runs
right by your door.
and so, even though it's more work, this info will need to be added to the
route descriptions to make them really useful.
(ideally, StarMetro should provide a text description of the appearance of
the stop, and it's GPS location, not just it's corner).

Describing StarMetro's Nova 2010 plan (as of 9/27/09)
There are 11 routes (as opposed to 25 day routes currently). All but
one are out-and-back; most have a small loop at one or both ends. Six
of these go to C.K. Steele Plaza. Under the Nova 2010 plan, service
would be identical all 7 days of the week, with minor deletions (such
as the Capital Office Complex being cut out of the Southwood routes on
weekends, since presumably no one is working then).
Routes are identified by COLOR. Multiple buses staggered along the same
route will produce higher frequency. Routes run independently, so will
not necessarily arrive at the same checkpoint at the same time every
hour; while the goal is for the PINK route, for example, to arrive at
the corner of Tharpe and M.L.King headed downtown every 30 minutes,
there is no guarantee. Buses will not be held at the plaza or other
transfer points.
Routes will be divided into three groups: north-south bound, east-west
bound, or combination. North-south routes will be listed from
easternmost to westernmost; east-west routes will be listed from
northernmost to southernmost. Each route will be described from its
northern end to its southern end or from its eastern end to its western
end where possible. Turn-by-turn descriptions include both the
direction of the turn (left or right) and the resulting compass
direction. Transfer/connection points with other routes are also
indicated, giving the color of the connecting route and the
cross-streets. Until directions of travel are indicated on StarMetro's
concept map, loops will be described in a clockwise direction. Be
advised that the concept map is NOT final. Updates to these
descriptions will be posted as time allows. Points of interest
(shopping, schools, medical facilities, recreational facilities)-- and
which side of the street they are on (compass direction)-- should be
added to make these descriptions complete.
North-south routes:

(west) on Call Street back to C.K. Steele Plaza.
DARK GREEN- Every 15 minutes. From the corner of Old Bainbridge and
Volusia, left (west) on Volusia, left (south) on Joe Louis Street, left
(east) on Alabama, right (south) on Abraham Street, right (west) on
Preston, right (north) on Basin, right (east) on Alabama, right
(southeast) on Old Bainbridge, left (east) on Fourth, right (south) on
Macomb [transfer point with BLACK at Macomb and Tennessee Street],
[transfer point with BLUE at Macomb and College]; Macomb becomes
Railroad Avenue/Wahnish Way, [transfer points with YELLOW and PURPLE at
