Thanks Lynn (and Terri) for pointing out this alternative. If you have wifi,
you can just buy the device you want, and use most of the useful apps.
I think Allison is going to get the IPad and use it via wifi only so she
doesn't have to get into a monthly plan just like Lynn.

1, which apple phone is the best for us to get?
Why that would be the latest version that is out now? The question seems to
be should I hold off for the newest or latest and greatest model. When I bought
my I Pad this past October I had no idea the newer model would be coming out
this past March. Do I regret buying the I Pad II; no, not for a minute. I
never had any device so accessible an easy to use right out of the box.
2, is their one for OCR?
I phones along with I Pads run apps short for applications. There is a
basic set of apps that comes with each device; Email, contacts, calendar and
camera to name a few that are task specific. Other apps help you get at the
music and videos you download to your device.
There is another app that lets you access the apps store. This lets you
choose more apps, over 500,000 at last count, books, and movies to rent $4.99
or buy, and all kinds of music; a single cost 99 cents, and albums cost $7.99
and up.
The price of apps can be free or anywhere from 99 cents an up. There are
OCR apps but do not look for this one to be on the device when you buy. I know
of one OCR app by Ai Squared that will let you take a picture of text and read
the text. This app is made for folks like me who still have some useful sight
left.
