I just became aware of two nice, free, apps from Sendero.
The GPS Lookaround makes you aware of near-by cross-streets, and points of
interest, along with their distance and direction.
The PeopleFinder Lite makes you aware of other blind users of PeopleFinder Lite
who are within 30 feet or so of you (it uses bluetooth). It provides you their
advertised name and phone number. You must have a working cell and GPS, so
this may not work for wi-fi only Ipad users.
There are no ads for either app.
