We tend to think of them as ordinary - but one day I parked my car, and one was
right outside the driver’s window in the seed I scatter under the feeder. It’s
head was such a pretty powder blue, the pink and magenta markings on the neck
were so perfect and pretty. It’s really a very lovely bird.

Hi Friends of Switzer Canyon
I've been making nesting platforms for mourning doves. I have more than I can
use and I'd like to offer them to you first.
These can be mounted on your property between 6-10 feet off the ground. Good
places are the crook of a tree with lots of branches to provide cover from
predators, or underneath eaves.
