You’re right...it would look bad if we didn’t do all of them. It’s a shame
all the circles didn’t continue this tradition. I like Ashley’s idea of
printing and sending a card for those that are not in our circle. We
wouldn’t have to add gift certificates to those if we felt it was too
expensive. But it’s nice for them to get a reminder that their church loves
them and misses them.

Debbie isn’t in the UMW, it would just be nice to send the kids something.
Amy McB’s daughter is at college also but her grandmother is in a circle
and I see it as that circle’s responsibility to send a valentine’s treat if
they like. I don’t know that we’ve sent the Akers’ kids one before so if we
don’t want to add them, it’s no problem. Thanks!

So didn't all of UMW participate in this in previous years, then they
decided it was too much and dropped it? I think that is when SWC decided
to keep it going for our circle members college students. Does anyone else
remember it that way?
I know we sent cookies for a while, then changed to gift cards due to
allergies and mailing costs getting too high. As lovely as I think it
would be to include all the college students, I'm not sure how much of a
budget we have to support that. It might be nice to send a note to all the
college students. We could have some preprinted cards done before our
February meeting and everyone write a personal note to one or two from the
list and then mail them. Just a thought if we wanted to include all the
college students.
