Looking at the weather forecast tonight and Tuesday night (16 &17 May
should be good weather for nocturnal migrants. Based on the wet and stormy
May so far and the statistics supplied by Birdcast, I think that many
migrant birds have been stalled later than average. Last night saw good
migration, tonight should be as good or better. Gale winds and rainstorm
will blow in from the West on Wednesday morning and that's when there may
be a major fallout of passerines at your favorite western Oregon and
Washington migrant birding spots.
I think Tomorrow (Tuesday morning) should be good for migrants at various
buttes and migrant funnels too...
