Regarding Eric’s critique; specifically ‘I bet you can't even balance the 
chemical reaction between Potassium Nitrate and Sorbital (sugar)’;
note that the Wikipedia article on sorbitol mentions its use as a propellant 
ingredient.  In ref 12 of that article, link to the Nakka website pages on 
‘sorbitol propellant’, click the link ‘theoretical performance’, then the link 
‘details’ to see the balanced equation for the sorbital-potassium nitrate 
oxidation reaction.  (Just remember to spell sorbitol correctly)
