Highlights of recent developments on the DoubleSShot project

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Rick Maschek reported that humanoid robot Cosma was balloon-launched on
Sunday morning and reached an altitude of over 30,000 meters. Cosma was
flown together with a Citrus College research payload. Cosma was designed
and built by Markus Bindhammer and shipped to Rick last October for the
balloon flight. The last location packet transmission was received at
9,000' (3037 m.) descending at 56 mph (90.7 km/hr) east on it's parachute.
A subsequent ground search was unsuccessful in locating the downed robot
and payload. Over the next few days, the collected data will be carefully
reviewed and analyzed in order to predict the touchdown site. The search
for the payload will resume this Thursday.

blueprint profile in preparation for the planned test firing this coming
weekend.
