It got me thinking--when the Moon is settled, New Year's will take a month to travel around it! No doubt the lunarians will choose one particular time to celebrate it (as well as other holidays), or else a big chunk of the lunar calendar will be taken up by numerous month-long holidays! Elon Musk and his fellow martian settlers (a Dutch group is also making preparations to settle Mars) will have an easier time of it, as Mars' day is 24 hours, 37 minutes long, and an 18-month calendar has been devised for it.
