In the American Standard system Isp is in Lbf-sec/Lbm which incorrectly reduces
to -sec, but is used in that manner by all rocket organizations. Nsec is
generally used to denote Total Impulse

Great fuel, but alas, would cost us too much Isp. Amazing to think how far
we've come since the dream was born many years ago. I wouldn't be surprised if
that 12" grain is the largest diameter ever cast for an amateur motor. SS2S is
gonna burn a hole in the sky for sure!

We transitioned to a more conventional 2-stage rocket 2 years ago. We have
since successfully launched a small scale 75mm sustainer, 100mm booster, and
both together as a 2-stage rocket with Isp of ~ 130 Nsec.
This 12" (300mm) short 2-grain motor was simply a test to verify such a large
grain could be cast and successfully fired. The pressure was kept low (~400
psi) and the ignition slow. Isp was 124.2 Nsec for this motor.
