Hi Hamit,

Yep, you do go into the sounds and audio devices thing, go to the recording
tab, select the line in, then go into it's properties, go to the listen tab,
and check the box that says listen to this device, apply it and you'll hear
it. Hit okay and it will save it. One thing to note, since you say that
this is also a mike jack, don't forget to turn it off when you'll use it as
such. I mean, it's really cool to monitor your self and all, but for some
reason and this appears to be a Windows 7 thing, there's an instant delay.
In other words, you'll hear your self an instant after you said what you
said. Very confusing, you can get tung tied. I't's happened to me.

Subject: [studiorecorder] question about listening to a recording while
you're recording it

Hi all,

I want to record something from a tape, however, after plugging the jack for
the patch cord into the headphone jack on the recorder and the other end
into the line in, also called the microphone jack on the computer, I try to
record something off the tape using studio recorder, and it works great, but
I can't hear what I'm recording while I'm recording it, so I don't know when
the recording is done playing on the tape. Will studio recorder let you
listen to what you're recording while you're recording it?

If so, can someone tell me what I have to do in the settings or whatever
part of studio recorder to do this?

Harry
