You are exceeding the limits of the beast. The answer is 2MB of data in
your format. So, about 12 seconds at 44,100, stereo. The reason is
because its a memory-based cross fade. Of course, we could fix this!

Rob, what is the longest cross fade time I can set? I have nature
sounds that I want to cross fade for about 1 minute or 1.5 minutes. I
can do this with Sound Forge, but I can't get it to work in SR.
Perhaps
I am simply putting in too high a number and it is not giving me an
error message, but I can't seem to get the cross fade to take nearly
long enough. Am I exceeding the limits of the beast here?
