I don't know anything about Hal; I guess you'll have to get out the
manual.
SR will not be supporting MIDI files. Just play them with your favorite
synth and record them as the play.

When recording with SR as the most front application, my speech (Speech

supernova (hal))keeps announcing the time of the recording like:
00:00, 00:02, etc.
2. can a futer release of SR support midi files?
So you can mix it in as a background music.
