It must be related to how the synthesizer is processing the strings and not the
screen reader. Interesting that it seems limited to a handful of colon
separated values.

This happens with Sound Forge as well so I didn't particularly think anything
was unusual when I heard it for the first time.
It's happened for many many years.

Actually, it's not just a JAWS issue. NVDA does not read all the colons either.
So, I wonder what is going on here?

Hi Rob:
Yes, I checked more closely and you are correct. It's a JAWS issue. I'll report
it to Freedom Scientific.
Thanks, Gerry

Hi Gerry,

This looks like a JAWS or Eloquence issue, since even your examples, as well as
my feature, use colons for all settings.

Rob

Hi;

I'm enjoying new features in SR v4.5.

I like the new announcement of zoom ratios. However, I notice Rob left out the
colon separator in some of the ratios. For example, if I press F9 multiple
times I hear JAWS say:

1:256
1:128
1:64
1:32
1:16

1:8

Several of those have no colon.

If Rob follows this list hopefully he can make a note to fix it in future
maintenance release.

Thanks, Gerry
