I doubt it had anything to do with the install, or the editing after
using another program. If you could hypnotize yourself and remember that
message, that would be great!

No, I am familiar with that message. The message basicly indicated
that there was something wrong with the peramaters that were being
put in, but it made absolutely no difference what peramaters I put
in I still got the same message. I could change from 0.00 to -6.00
and still get the same message. In fact I could change everything
that can be set under that dialog and still get the same message.

I keep wondering whether SR wasn't happy that I had edited the file
after doing the compressions or whether it was just a fluke due to
something not getting loaded right in memory?

David:

We really need to know the error message. If it was something
like,
"This document is already normalized to the specified value, data
were
not modified", this is not a problem.

Hi folks,

After installing the latest beta I started work on a new project
which I had done some preliminary noise reduction on in SoundForge.

I had normalized the file on SoundForge, but wanted to re-do the
normalization after doing some editing in SR to compress pauses,
and
to compress the file down from a little over 57 minutes to 54
minutes in SR. When I attempted to do a normalize I got an error
saying that something was wrong with the parameters. After three
tries, and using SR's default settings for normalization and
getting
the same message I decided to export the file as an MP3, close
down
SR, reload SR, reload the file, copy the contents to a new
document
and try again. This did work, but what was really strange was
that
prior to saving the file originally in SR I attempted to do a mix
adding a second file to the end of the first one, and got the same
message that I had gotten when I had tried to normalize just the
one
file.

So, I don't know if there was just something that had not loaded
in
SR the way it should have the first time around or what, but
thought
APH might want to know about the problem anyway.
