I would just make all those level adjustments to the music file, put it on the clipboard, then mix it with the originel podcast with the X command. Let's say that I have a piece of music I want to use as an introduction. I also have an already recorded file of a podcast. I want to play 8 seconds of the music before the podcast begins, and I want to have the music fade out for three seconds before the podcast begins. At some point in the first 10 or so seconds of the podcast, I want to totally fade out the music. What is the easiest way to do this. Thanks for your help. I think this will clarify at least this example for a lot of people. I prefer using the X command to mix a piece that is on the clipboard, but it really depends on the specific situation.
