Hi folks,
Let's gather at the Panera in Novato (near Target) for a sunny afternoon of
patio. RSVP is appreciated but not required
Also, let's do a Knit-Along!
I started knitting a shawl pattern I bought on Ravelry a couple weeks ago,
Tendrilly, pictured above. Last Saturday, it was suggested that we do a
knit-along, ie. KAL. I'm pretty far into the pattern, so I can "lead" the
KAL and help others get started. It has a very basic cable and some lace.
You need to know how to do a yarn over, ssk, and k2tog. Not hard but this is
not a super-simple mindless knit. It's a nice challenge if you've never done
much lace before. The instructions are both written out and in chart form.
The great thing is that a lot of the shawl is just stockinette stitch. So if
you're up for it, buy the pattern on Ravelry and pick out your yarn. I
suggest a solid or semi-solid/tonal color in a sport/dk/worsted weight yarn.
Fingering might be too fine. We can discuss everything on Saturday.
