I believe what Eric was saying is that he is glad the Steelers don’t cripple
themselves with bad contracts in a panic move, like the Wilson trade, and is ok
with Steelers being bargain/safe shoppers for the most part ( not to put words

I am MUCH happier sitting here debating whether our overhauled ILB core is an
improvement vs. how we recover from the horrible Russell Wilson deal. Or

drama. If he's even still elite.
I give them credit. They saw the ILBs were a weakness, addressed it in a
clear and loud voice, with value signings that give us options in the draft.
That's all I can really ask for.
