I believe what Eric was saying is that he is glad the Steelers don’t cripple
themselves with bad contracts in a panic move, like the Wilson trade, and is ok

I am MUCH happier sitting here debating whether our overhauled ILB core is an
improvement vs. how we recover from the horrible Russell Wilson deal. Or
wondering how many players we need to cut to make room for Kaaron Rogers'
drama. If he's even still elite.
I give them credit. They saw the ILBs were a weakness, addressed it in a clear
and loud voice, with value signings that give us options in the draft. That's
all I can really ask for.
