The List is off to the Inventors Museum where there's still time to catch
"Women's History Month" and yes, that is Hedy Lamar, the revered icon of
the geek set, on the intro page.

The site offers categories such as transportation, war, medical, space and
'colonial' among others, each with its complement of inventors. In the
section on Women Inventors are the redoubtable Grace Hopper and the perhaps
less well-known Stephanie Kwolek. Not only are serious inventions and
inventors documented but there is also a section on "Fun and Games" which
details the story of the Hula Hoop and its connection with the burgeoning
plastics industry, the Frisbee, as well as an exploration of the history of
golf.
