As much as am excited to start the rookie draft, I will not be prepared to
start it Monday or Tuesday because I feel like I should generally be around
during the draft. I have other commitments this afternoon through a good part
of the evening and on Tuesday Seth has another chemo appointment and we

draft. And any spare time I have in between that I planned to scout out a
player for my pick with DAK #1.8 to help me decide whether to trade or keep the
pick.

I understand the desire to give everyone a chance to look things over... and
for sure to wait for the cut-down deadline to pass (which happened last night).
But this is just an idea, but why not start the draft with untimed picks on
Tuesday morning (or even Monday night). To me, the first round of the RFA draft
is by far the most important... so allowing more coaches the benefit of being
able to take their time to make their pick would be better than waiting more.
