I hope everyone has been well. This is typically when we begin the
preseason, but these are not typical times. It seems unlikely that the
next NBA season will begin before Christmas, and the only info I have
seen so far from Strat projected a November release date for the game.
Given that, to ensure the following season doesn't bleed too far into
the summer I'd like to propose a December 7th draft, with December 14th
as a backup. Beyond that the holidays would require us to wait until
January 9th. Note that the rosters files haven't been updated yet,
which I anticipate doing within the next month. There's no urgency, but
at some time before the end of October please let me know if you plan on
returning for the next season.
I have one additional note. This will be my final season participating
in the league. I enjoy playing the game, running the league, and
interacting with everyone as much as I ever did, but I no longer have
any interest in following the NBA. If anyone is interested in taking
over as commissioner following this season please let me know. I'll
still be available on email going forward if you have any questions. Or
if you'd prefer to take over immediately I'll step down.
