Hello Coaches,
To avoid having any part of the draft over Thanksgiving, I am going to move
up t he draft two days. We will be starting the Rookie/FA Draft via
15-minute timeslots on Wednesday. I may open the draft untimed the night
before though I want coaches to send out an email to the next coach (i.e.
You are up to draft if you are ready to select early."). I would rather a
coach let us know they will need more time to prepare for their pick and
will not be able to select until their timeslot. Then we all know what to
expect and I am happy to see coaches put in the research before picking. To
me that is a good thing, better than picking a crappy player rearly. At no
time do I want coaches to feel they are rushed if they receive an email
letting them know they are up to pick. It's simply to let them know.
Here are the Round 1 timeslots. Please let me know if there are going to be
any major conflicts for anyone. Keep in mind that picks #4 to #20 will be
reversed in all even rounds. We are planning on drafting up to 15 players
and I will continue to monitor all the teams' total minutes to make sure
that will get each team to around 20K or more minutes. I will be willing to
add a round if I feel it is needed. But coaches need to draft for minutes in
this league too in this league, not just 100-minute prospects. - Thanks,
