Gobert picked up two fouls in the first 50 seconds of the game. Hield hit
three 3's in the first three minutes of the game including two on the D
column. MIN was 5 for 6 from downtown in the first four minutes of
the game to take a 17-10 lead. Lake K was called for three offensive fouls
in the first five minutes of the game. Seven minutes in, MIN was now 7 for
8 from three for a 25-16 lead. Lake K scored seven in a row to cut it to
25-23. Lake K tied the game at 27-27 but Stephenson hit a three on the
next possession. Harrell got a hoop and some harm to give Lake K their
first lead of the game at 32-30. On the last shot of the quarter, Ingles
rolled an X-10 against a 2-9 defender. MIN regained the lead 35-33 after
12 minutes thanks to 9 for 12 three point shooting. MIN was only 2 for 12
from two point land. Lake K was 0 for 3 from distance. But Lake K was 13
for 16 from two point land. Harrell scored a game high 13 points in 8
minutes. Griffin added 9. Hield led MIN with 12 points on 4 for 4 3's.
No one else for MIN scored more than 4 points.
In the second quarter, Lake K could not score for the first three minutes
and MIN scored nine in a row for a 41-33 lead. Just like the first
quarter, Lake K trailed by 9 in the second quarter but came back to take
the lead at 48-47. Lake K built their biggest lead so fat at 56-48 when
Hield drained another three. Another offensive foul on Gobert gave him
four fouls. Green hit back to back 3's to cut it to 60-59. MIN ended the
half on an 11-4 run. Lake K was leading 60% to 42% in FG shooting but only
led by one point at the half. MIN led 12 to 1 in made 3's. MIN is 12 for
22 from three and only 7 for 24 from two. Harrell had a game high 21
points in 15 minutes. Griffin was at 15 points. Hield was leading MIN
with 15 thanks to 5 for 5 3's. Green had 12 as each team had two players
in double figures. Curry only had 2 points and it came off a dazzler.
In the third quarter, MIN scored the first four points of the half to make
it 10 straight overall. Lake K tied it at 66-66. Walker got fouled on a 3
and made all three FT's, and Hield is now 6 for 6 from three with three of
them coming on a blank 12. Halfway through the 3rd, MIN was 14 for 25 from
three while Lake K was 1 for 12. Lake K regained the lead when Korver hit
a three on a blank 5 to make it 83-82. Lake K was 1 for 14 from three
before that one. Griffin ended the quarter with a dazzler to give Lake K
an 86-84 lead heading to the 4th. Neither team led by more than four in
the 3rd. MIN missed their last four three attempts. Both teams have 10
turnovers now. Harrell has a game high 28 points in 22 minutes. Griffin
has 21 points and a game high 7 assists. Gobert has a game high 15
rebounds. Hield is still leading MIN with 18 points on 6 for 6 three's.
Green is at 16 and Crowder 12. Walker only has 8 and Curry only 4.
In the fourth quarter, after Ingles missed his 5-20 dazzlers on the first
play of the quarter, Green got a hoop and some harm giving Harrell his 5th
foul and putting MIN back on top 87-86. Ingles tied it at 90-90 with a
dazzler but Walker hit a three on the other end. Curry tied it at 93-93
with a three on a D-9 for his first three of the game. Curry and Walker
traded 3's to make it 96-96. Curry missed 1 of 2 FT's and Mason missed on
a FB steal shot. Hield finally missed a three and Mason scored on a drive
putting Lake K up 101-96. But a Walker hoop and some harm tied the game at
101-101 with 5:40 left. Griffin missed three straight open inside shots
against a 2-7, 10 defender. Seven straight points for MIN put them up
103-101. Curry tied it on a switch X-7 against a 2-7, 10 defender. Curry
hit a three on a D-9 to make it 106-103 with 3:20 left. Green answered
with a three on a blank 5 on the other end. Griffin missed inside again
but got his own rebound and scored on the second chance. Green missed a
three on a D-7 and Curry missed an open jumper. Hield missed a three and
Harrell got a hoop and some harm with 1:11 left. He made the FT for a
111-106 lead. An Opp Def 23 was a steal for Curry and Lake K held the
ball. With 50 seconds left, Smart was intentionally fouled. He made both
but Walker hit a three on the other end to make it 113-109 with 39 seconds
left. Curry was intentionally fouled with 32 seconds left and made both.
Curry made four more FT's and Lake K escaped with a 119-109 win to reach 60
wins on the season with four games outstanding.
Walker and Green each scored 22 for MIN while Hield missed his last two 3's
to stay at 18. Crowder added 15 and Sexton had 10 in 14 minutes. Harrell
had a game high 33 points with the huge three point play at the key moment
down the stretch. Griffin had 25 points and a game high 9 assists. Curry
went 6 for 6 from the FT line in the final minute to finish with 22.
Gobert grabbed a game high 18 rebounds.
